Horsetail Ranch

Our group of 5 couples had an amazing time at Horsetail Ranch. Kena was super helpful during the booking process and shared a bunch of different restaurant and winery recommendations. The property was promptly ready for us at time of check in and had a bunch of different outdoor games that our group enjoyed. The views from the back patio area are stunning and we enjoyed cooking dinner outdoors and watching the sunset every night! I would highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again.

We stayed at HorseTail Ranch for a long holiday weekend with 4 adults and 5 kids ages 7-16. The house was immaculate with so many appreciated details and touches to make the home comfortable for everyone. The owner was prompt in communicating with us in regards to questions before we booked, suggestions of things to do in the area, questions while we were staying at the ranch, and following up once we left. The care taker was amazingly helpful also and friendly checking us in and out and anything we needed while we were staying. It was like having a 5 star concierge service! Our party of 10 fit perfectly with beds to spare. The house is spacious from the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. The beds are over the top comfortable and if we didn't want to get up and enjoy our morning coffee around the cozy fire pit and overlooking the breathtaking scenery, we would have stayed in the beds all day! The kids enjoyed exploring the ranch, playing corn hole and the hot tub. The adults enjoyed sitting on the large patio, around the fire pit with our wine enjoying the sunsets. The ranch is secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet but also close enough to grab a bite to eat in any of the surrounding towns. A true 5 star vacation rental from start to end. Can't recommend HorseTail Ranch enough and can't wait to return again

Words cannot begin to describe our experience at Horsetail Ranch. We booked the location for some much-needed family time and could not have been more pleased with the experience! The goal was to just sit and relax, but we came home with memories to last a lifetime. Our teenagers played the many outdoor games (with a mountain view) while the adults cooked breakfast, then the days were filled with hiking, picnics and horseback riding. It felt like we had the world to ourselves. There was a heat wave on the first day, so we stayed inside cool as cucumbers (I don''t know how the a/c works so well with those high ceilings and windows, but it was perfect!). We made sure to start dinner early each night so that we could enjoy the full sunset before a night of stargazing. Even cooking dinner was a family event as the kitchen and living area are so spacious that all 6 of us had room to participate (and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed!). We are already planning a return trip with another family as the layout (indoor and out) begs for entertaining. Never have we visited any location so plush, yet so completely at one with nature. Between all the fresh mountain air, and the luxurious linens, none of us can remember any other time that we slept so well. Thank you, Kena for all of the accommodations - the Villa was immaculate and Horsetail Ranch was the definition of heaven on earth!

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Horsetail Ranch! We went to The Ranch over News Years and had one of our most favorite vacations ever. What a perfect way to unwind and decompress from the city. The house and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Everything down to the details are perfectly rustic, chic and luxurious! We had 3 families and there was a little bit of everything for everyone. We loved just sitting on the patio looking out over the tranquil views and the local wine tasting. Kids enjoyed the freedom of running free around the expansive property and of course the jacuzzi. One of the absolute best moments on our trip was horseback riding around the property with Brian and Crystal (who were also incredible hosts). The kids still remember their horses names and Goatee. I can't say enough about how great our trip was. I think this says it all - we are already planning another visit!

We spent New Year’s at Horsetail Ranch with another family and absolutely loved our stay. We had 9 adults and the property had more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. The grounds are expansive and beautiful—perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking or just taking in wide‑open views. The town of Creston was a fun surprise too. We loved the general store and the local bar—both added to the charm of the trip. Back at the ranch, the house had everything we could possibly need: a great hot tub, an outdoor grill, and tons of thoughtful amenities throughout. The onsite host was incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful, which made the stay even better. We were also just the right distance from Paso Robles, where we enjoyed great meals and some really fun wine tasting. Highly recommend Horsetail Ranch. We’ll definitely be back!

Booking Horsetail Ranch for our intimate wedding was the best decision! The photo backdrops were amazing, especially at sunset! Booking the venue was easy. I worked directly with the owner, Kena. She was so accommodating and wanted everything to be perfect for us. She put me in contact with Brian who lives on the property. He was such a big help in making sure we had everything we needed, including making sure we had proper info to give our vendors. We rented the main villa, which comfortably accommodated the 8 of us that stayed there, and the other guests joined us for the ceremony and dinner. The kitchen was perfect for our chef to prepare a meal for 16 people. The master bedroom and bath was plenty big enough for myself, my 2 sisters, and mom to get ready in. The guest rooms were all a great size, and there were plenty of bathrooms in the house. The jacuzzi, fire pit, and hanging patio lights create a relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend Horsetail Ranch to anyone looking for an intimate, romantic venue, or even as a great place to vacation!

We all had a wonderful experience at HorseTail Ranch. The ranch home is so clean and absolutely beautiful! Everything is very organized with a fully equipped kitchen and bbq outside! The bedrooms are all very clean and so are the bathrooms. We loved our stay but most of all we loved the ranch hands, Crystal and Brian, and how they were so attentive and helpful with all of our needs! They checked on us to make sure everything was good and were readily available for any questions we had. We also loved the horseback riding. A wonderful place for an all adult get away as well as a very family oriented vacation! We will definitely stay there again! Can’t wait to go back with our granddaughters to go horseback riding and see the farm animals down the road and also to take walks across the many acres of beautiful terrain!

Stayed in this amazing place for four nights!!! Wish we could have stayed longer!!! Stayed in the cabin along with our two children and our friends! It is such a calming, secluded and soulful place to be. Rolling hills surround you! Brian and his wife that manage it are extremely helpful and welcoming. They facilitate horse rides and for our younger children they had farm animals to meet and pet. They also gave the kids a polished horse shoe each which was a lovely bonus. The location is great as a short ride away in a car or on horse back are wonderful wineries and beaches! We'll definitely return!!
